This is The Rag Pickers first visit to Darlington Folk Club. They are a "high energy" trio who perform American music and songs from the 30's 40's and 50's featuring Ragtime to early Rock 'n' Roll. A really lively evening is promised.


    NEW VENUE CHOSEN

THE CLUB WILL HOLD THE FIRST GUEST NIGHT IN THE COPPER BEECH PUB ON NEASHAM ROAD, DARLINGTON ON 5 TH JULY FEATURING BERT DRAYCOTT FOR THE FIRST HALF AND THEN JOHN SNOWBALL & PAT BALDWIN FOR THE SECOND . Supported by Paul Davison

                After a lot of searching and comparisons this new venue has been chosen for its comfort, location, availability for disabled members, car parking and adequate size. We hope that all our faithfull club members and regular audience will follow us and support the move to our new "home".

 Our present location UNTIL THE END OF JUNE is The Darlington Arts Centre, Vane Terrace , Darlington DL3 7AX (For details about how to find The Arts Centre please look at the "Contact Us" Page). Our Singarounds are usually held in the club room on the left and Guest nights are held in the Garden Bar.

 

           CHARITY DONATION

  A cheque for £675 was presented from the Folk Club to the Macmillan Cancer support Charity on 26th April during the guest evening with Tich Frier. Jenny Hughes handed over the cheque from the proceeds of the Tom Hughes Memorial concert in February.
